Visiting Non-Degree Students

Are you a student looking to take a class as a visiting student? Students can take courses at Carroll University for enrichment, skill-building or for graduate study prerequisites. Courses may be taken for credit or audit.

Admission Process & Requirements

STEP 1: Submit the Non-Degree Application.To enroll in a course, you need to submit the Non-Degree Application. This form acts as both an application and registration form for those interested in taking courses at Carroll on a part-time basis (less than 12 credits) as a visiting student. You are required to reapply for each term you plan to take courses.

STEP 2: Upload Transcript(s). To verify any course prerequisites have been satisfied, we require an unofficial transcript be uploaded to your application.

STEP 3: Respond to Your Acceptance: Students approved for enrollment will be notified via email. To accept the offer of non-degree admission, log into your Carroll application portal and submit the Reply to Offer acknowledging your decision to enroll in the courses you identified on your application for credit or auditing purposes. Confirming your decision to enroll indicates you accept the responsibility for all tuition and fees associated with your registration.

Other Admission Information

  • Your course schedule will be emailed to you. If you notice an error, please contact your admission counselor for assistance.
  • Students seeking to drop a course, must do so in writing through the Office of the Registrar. Refunds are based on the postmark date of drop request if sent by mail or on the receipt date if delivered in person.
  • Billing statements are posted to your account in Self-Service and may be paid online through the Student Payment Portal or mailed to Carroll University – Business Office 100 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186.
  • Students taking coursework as prerequisites for graduate school only, may be eligible for Financial Aid through FAFSA. Financial Aid - Graduate Prerequisites
  • If you wish to become a degree-seeking student at Carroll University, you will be required to complete admission procedures for degree-seeking students, full-time or part-time.
